After a short hiatus while undergoing a transition, The Academic Writing Centre is once again open to all U of L students!
The Centre will begin normal operating hours on Monday, September 17th. Students are free to drop in or email the coordinator to book an appointment at writing.centre@uleth.ca. The Centre's operating hours for the fall term are as follows:
MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS and FRIDAYS: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Centre is located in the Library, in L-1012. We are just across from the Service Desk.
ABOUT THE CENTRE:
The primary function of the Academic Writing Centre is to provide students from all disciplines with practical writing support in addition to what they have received from in-class instruction. Students benefit from one-on-one writing consultations, which allow for a more personalized and interactive learning experience. Our ultimate goal is to help students better develop and articulate their own rhetorically-defensible ideas through academic writing.
Please check the Academic Writing Program website for a link to the Centre in the weeks to come. Further information and an online registration calendar will soon be available.
